"ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय। तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। मृत्योर् मा अमृतं गमय।"
"Lead me from the unreal to the real,
Lead me from darkness to light,
Lead me from death to immortality."
The Call of India

The wind carried the scent of salt and incense as the twelve women stood barefoot at the Matsya Narayan Temple, an open-air sanctuary by the sea. The waves crashed gently onto the shore, as if echoing an ancient welcome. Above them, the sky darkened into twilight, and the temple bells chimed in rhythmic harmony.
This wasn’t just a trip. It was a calling.
They had come from Brazil, following the footsteps of seekers before them. Disciples of Acharya Jonas Masetti (Padma Shri Awardee, Jan 2025), they were here for something far beyond sightseeing. They came seeking transformation.
Guided by Spectrum Trips, a woman-owned travel company dedicated to unveiling India’s hidden soul, they embarked on the Pancha Bhuta Temple Tour, a journey to experience the five fundamental elements of existence—Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Space—through the sacred temples where these forces manifest.
A Journey Crafted with Intention

India isn’t just a destination; it’s an experience that enters the heart and never leaves.
That is the foundation of Spectrum Trips, a travel company built with the belief that India must be felt, not just seen. Every journey is curated to immerse travelers in the country’s spiritual and cultural depth.

For these twelve women, this wasn’t about checking places off an itinerary. It was about walking paths that sages walked, breathing air that carried the echoes of devotion, and surrendering to the energy of temples where time itself seemed to dissolve.
Chennai: Where the Journey Begins

At Matsya Narayan Temple, standing by the sea, the travelers closed their eyes and listened to the wind, the water, the distant temple bells. A moment of silence stretched between them.
Earth – Kanchipuram: The Grounded Spirit

The journey led them to Kanchipuram, the city of a thousand temples, where the essence of Earth was rooted in divine form. At Ekambareswarar Temple, they walked beneath a 3,500-year-old mango tree, believed to embody Lord Shiva himself.

The towering gopurams loomed above them, etched with mythological tales. Time felt suspended, as if the temple itself had absorbed the prayers of centuries.
"Standing here, I feel like I’m not just seeing history—I’m inside it."
Fire – Thiruvannamalai: The Eternal Flame

At Thiruvannamalai, fire was not just an element—it was a force that burns within and transforms everything it touches.
They climbed the sacred Arunachala Hill, where Shiva is worshiped as fire itself. Here, devotion was raw, intense. The air pulsed with energy as flames flickered inside Arunachaleswarar Temple, symbolizing the eternal flame of truth.

Sitting in deep meditation at Ramana Maharshi’s ashram, some of the women found themselves overcome with emotion. Time stretched and dissolved.
"This is not just a journey," one of the travellers wrote to us. "It’s a return."
Water – Rameshwaram: The Cleansing Flow

In Rameshwaram, the waters of the Bay of Bengal beckoned them forward. At Agni Theertham, they stepped into the sacred tides, feeling the weight of something unseen lift from their shoulders.

Inside Ramanathaswamy Temple, they moved through the long corridors, pausing at 22 sacred wells. Each drop of water touched them with a different prayer, a different lesson.
"Something changed in me here," one traveler confessed. "I came here as an outsider, but I feel like I belong."
Air – Srikalahasti: The Breath of Life

In Srikalahasti, the wind itself carried whispers of devotion.
At Srikalahasteeswara Temple, where Vayu (Air) is worshiped as the essence of life, the travelers stood still, letting the wind move through them. It was said that the very breath of the universe passes through this temple, an eternal connection between the mortal and the divine.
"As the wind moved through the temple halls, it felt as though it carried with it the wisdom of centuries."
Space (Ether) – Chidambaram: The Cosmic Dance

At last, they arrived at Chidambaram, where space itself was the deity.
The Nataraja Temple stood in front of them, a place where Shiva’s cosmic dance unfolds eternally. When the golden curtain of the Chidambara Rahasyam was drawn back, there was no idol—only an empty space, a void, a vastness.
"At that moment, I realized—India doesn’t give you answers, she makes you question everything."
Returning, Yet Never Leaving

As they packed their bags, they felt it—the pull, the imprint, the unshakable bond with this land.
"So much to tell, yet words fall short to describe India’s magic. A group of strangers became family—a union of souls seeking the same path. India gives so much and teaches so much. She touches our hearts and leaves her blessing. India enters us and stays, like a brand. Once you step on India and surrender to it, we become her children. And to mother's house, we always come back."
A Journey That Never Ends

They had come with questions about life, about the self, about something just beyond reach. India did not give them the answers they sought.
Instead, she gave them something better a deeper sense of wonder, a greater acceptance of the unknown, and the realization that the journey itself was the answer.

As the plane took off, they did not feel like they were leaving. How can you leave something that now lives within you?
This is the kind of journey Spectrum Trips was created for not just travel, but transformation. With each curated experience, we bring the world to India’s sacred spaces, crafting trips that go beyond sightseeing into the heart of what makes this country unforgettable; our Tagline is a testament of it – India at your doorstep.
